Extended Coffee Break

It’s official. My desire to focus on the study of end things is dwindling, and I think it’s time a take a break until I have true motivation that drives me to write out of correct motives rather than feeling motivated to write out of duty to keep my readers happy. It’s been fun to back here for the past year after a year break due to the same reasons, but while my desire for God’s word is never simply focused on end times, it is cyclical, meaning there are times when I have drive to focus on certain aspects of truth more than others.

I would never say that the study of prophecy is all about timing, maps and the rapture, and that it has nothing to do with knowing God. In fact, I try to make sure that truth about God, Himself, is included within this blog and that prophecy is shown to be an aspect of God’s character, and that understanding prophetic truth is most definitely applicable in the here and now and is actually a part of communion with Him.

But I feel like I’m being led to put it on the shelf for the time being and to simply spend quality time knowing Him and seeking scripture more deeply to apply to my daily life and to those around me without spending so much time pondering the future and things to write about concerning it.

Some feel an urgency to continue to write about news events and prophetic topics because of their belief that the WEU is the beast empire, that a certain individual is the Antichrist and that the final week of Daniel has begun. While I would never say that this scenario is untrue, I will say that at this point in time it is only speculation, one should not be dogmatic about it and we can’t know for sure until clear, undeniable signs take place. If these signs take place, believe me, I will be back with a vengeance.

This break of mine may last a month, or it may last a year. I don’t know, and only time will tell, but I think that there’s enough content here for new readers to ponder as they accidentally drop by or are directed here by you, my regular reader. I hope I haven’t disappointed too many of you, and I hope I’m articulating this so that you understand my perspective.

Thanks for all of your great comments, questions and thoughts over the last year! And thanks even to those of you that disagree with me. Life would be boring without disagreements or issues to wrestle with. And feel free to continue to make comments or to ask questions because I’m certain that I will still keep up that portion of the Tribune during my little sabbatical.

Dave

I'm happy for you, but sad for me.

Enjoy the break and enjoy God. When you start posting again, I'll be here. That's not a threat, just an intention.

Above all...

Have fun and stay busy - Luke 19:13

I haven't read all your posts yet so even though you might be gone I'll still be dropping in from time to time to get through them all. I've been tremendously blessed by what you have put out. One of my favorites is "Prewrath Big Picture." May you be renewed and refreshed as you spend time with the One Who is our Overcomer.

Take your time. The world will keep spinning.

Is that a prophecy? :)

Good on ya Dave! God bless and enjoy.

I like to remind myself that all believers have the same "calling"; which is to preach the gospel to every creature and make disciples for Jesus from every nation.

That is the "work of the ministry", which is often confused with our "passion" for something, like music or preaching or blogging... which for the most part, are not callings but giftings or activities.

Naturally, some will have the blessed opportunity to use their passions, such as music or preaching or teaching, to fulfill their calling.

Once we make the distinction in our minds between our calling and our gifting or passions, it is easier to "take a break" or change direction, without abandoning our ministry (calling), and so release ourselves from guilt.

Our calling (ministry) is lifetime, while our gifting or passions, which we use to fulfill our calling, may come and go or transform over time... and so they should.

Next month you might be doing something else entirely. Go for it brother!

To your freedom.

Thanks for keeping us informed . May you be strengthened in the Lord's grace . There's plenty on this blog to chew on ( it's not pretty but think of a cow who has to re-chew his food over and over before it is finally digested ) . I'm personally more and more convinced that Islam will be playing a major part in bringing in the beast empire . Have a restful and fruitful break Dave . I truly enjoy your blog and is a blessing to me .

Thanks, guys. And I think you may be right, Robert. I don't see how Islam couldn't be a big part of the beast empire. Even if we only looked at the countries listen in Ezekiel 38, that seems like enough evidence to make this conclusion. Now, what exactly that part is, I don't know.

Dave,

Why don't you make that a tea break and not a coffee break! ;-)

PWTribune said...

Alan,

Because I'm a MAN! :)

Actually, it's been quite a wild ride. One week after I felt like it was time to take a bread from this we got a phone call. Two weeks later we adopted a 3 year old! Things have changed, to say the least.

Sorry for deleting your posts, Anon. But this isn't a place to come to post long, random writings that have nothing to do with the original post.

Wow looks like I wandered into a reality free zone. You poor, poor people. Seek some real knowledge please. Humanity can't support the immense weight of your ignorance.

I read your book and I have to say it was really enlightening. I decided to read your book after reading your comparison of Matthew 24 and Luke 12 on the strongtower publishing site. It came after a week of being totally confused with the two chapters. I had been praying for God to give me wisdom. My Church has been studying revelation this year. One chapter per week. It is a pre-trib church and our pastor is from dallas theological seminary. But Matthew 24 has always caused me anxiety as well as Matthew 25 parable about the 10 virgins. It totally does not make sense from a pretrib viewpoint. But it makes perfect sense from a pre-wrath perspective. Your book was as if someone turned the light on in the dark room I had been stumbling. Thank you again.

It's a quick list of Tech Gadgets. feelings. The way things stand right now it appears that Tech Gadgets isn't doing so well. Necessarily, there are weeks when I seriously mull over that in respect to Tech Gadgets. Nevertheless, you may want to look at Tech Gadgets because without the right Tech Gadgets you will not get much joy out of your Tech Gadgets.. Hi, sorry to hear your taking a break, not because I don't want you to take a rest but I would like to engauge in conversation on the subject of pre-wrath. I fully believe the rapture will be before the great day of His wrath and the hour of His judgment has come. I would like to hear your comments on this, The book in the right hand of Him who sits on the throne that is sealed with seven seals, is what Psalm 149 calls the written judgment. Jesus is the only one worthy to loose the seals and open the book because all judgment has been committed to Him by the Father. Naturally the book cannot be opened and judgment executed until the seals are loosened. The seals I believe are events that must take place before the judgment can begin. What do you think? To God be the glory.

The best way to do warm-up exercises is to work out slowly and quickly. Your muscles will be susceptible to cold, shock, and internal damage if you do not have a thorough warm-up. The warmup is extremely important not only for bodybuilding but also with any sport, to help reduce injury and provide the best preparation step before a burst of strength.

I had lost perspective on the importance of associations doing it. I could teach my dog how to use Keto Diet. I don't have to have to eat crow over that and it is more than worth this. Weight Loss Gummies, in particular, is actually important in this area but please read the description so that you understand how to use Diet Pills. We've been eligible for Keto Diet benefits before. I can see how that is true with respect to Diet Pills and this is another cool thing.
